Recap of Webinar “Validation of mobilityDCAT-AP” on March 14, 2025

The NAPCORE Metadata Group held its second webinar about the new metadata specification for mobility data portals, called mobilityDCAT-AP.
Around 70 participants from different European institutions joined the Webinar to learn about the validation of mobilityDCAT-AP, including the validation concepts (in particular, SHACL), tooling and practical deployment.

The main questions raised during the Webinar were about constraints that can be defined with SHACL, the relationship with ontologies built outside mobilityDCAT-AP (e.g., Transmodel), and perspectives to use AI to enhance validations.
The Working Group will inform about further progress on mobilityDCAT-AP via the NAPCORE website and the LinkedIn channel.
